BioInWaste Spring School 2024. Topic 3: Lecture 2

Continuation of topic 3 “Characterization of biofuel feedstocks” with the participation of guest expert Professor Mykola Kharytonov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University (Ukraine) with a presentation “Efficiency of using non-traditional fertilizers for growing bioenergy crops on marginal lands”.

The following issues were discussed during the lecture:

  • The impact of using municipal sewage sludge for growing sweet sorghum on reclaimed mine lands
  • Evaluation of agricultural waste utilization as fertilizer in field experiments on growing vegetable crops in the steppe zone of Ukraine
  • Types of waste as substrates for biofuel production
