On December 16 and 18, 2024, the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies of Sumy State University held meetings of Examination Commissions #5 and #43 to defend the qualification works of masters of specialties 183 “Environmental Protection Technologies” and 101 “Ecology”. The defenses took place according to the approved schedule via video conference on the Google Meet platform.

The main results of the works of masters G.I. Mikhno and R.A. Mosiychuk were involved in the implementation of the Jean Monnet Module “Bioenergy innovations in waste management: European experience in implementing a circular economy” (BIOINWASTE) of the EU Erasmus+ Program under grant agreement № 101085172 (2023-2025).

The aim of Hanna Mykhno’s work “Increasing the level of environmental safety of soils through the
use of granular biofertilizers from digestate” was to determine the impact of granular biofertilizers from digestate on the environmental safety of soils and their physical and chemical properties.

The aim of Ruslan Mosiychuk’s work “Technological solutions for agricultural waste utilization with biogas production” was to find technological solutions for the utilization of agricultural waste with biogas production that would increase the efficiency of the process and reduce environmental risks for an agricultural enterprise in Sumy region.
