Cooperation between the Jean Monists: participation in the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “European Dimensions of Sustainable Development”

On June 1-2, 2023 the National University of Food Technologies (Kyiv) hosted the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “European Dimensions of Sustainable Development”, organized by the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ program projects of the Jean Monnet Centre for Cyclic and Green Economy JM ECO (620627-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CoE), The EU Renewable Energy Strategy as a Roadmap for Ukraine (101085755 – JM RE – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) and European Union Policy and Best Practices for Academic Project Management (101085243 – ProEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEITCH-RSCH).

Our colleague Yelizaveta Chernysh, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies, Sumy State University, and coordinator of the BioInWaste project under module of Jean Monnet, participated in the event.

During two intense days, out of almost one hundred announced reports and two hundred registered participants, about fifty speeches on various areas of sustainable development and European integration were heard and discussed. Our colleague Yelizaveta Chernysh made a presentation on “Phosphogypsum as a mineral resource for bioprocesses” in the context of new opportunities for recycling phosphogypsum, a waste product of the chemical industry.
