BioInWaste Spring School 2023. Topic 3: Lecture 1

On 3 May 2023, the course “Implementation of bioenergy technologies for waste processing in the EU” continued with a new topic “Characterisation of biofuel feedstocks”. The lecture covered the diversity of crops that can be used for energy production, as well as the characteristics that affect the quality and efficiency of biofuel production. Dr Yelizaveta Chernysh spoke about the characteristics of biofuel feedstocks, and Eric Fehrhau, an expert and scientist at the Biogas Laboratory of the Bergakademie Freiberg Technical University, shared his knowledge of biofuels from plant substrates. In this video, you will learn about the variety of crops that can be used for energy.
