BioInWaste Spring School 2023. Topic 2: Workshop 1

On 28 April 2023, the second day of the BioInWaste 2023 Spring School ended with a lecture on the growth of the bioeconomy around the world, the relationship between the circular economy and the bioeconomy, and the green course of biotechnology development in various industries.

The seminar included a discussion with invited guests:

  • Dr Hinek Roubik from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague shared strategies and action plans for the development of a circular bioeconomy.
  • Dr Joachim Venus from the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomics spoke about lignocellulosic biomass and waste as potential substrates for industrial biotechnology.
