The Module BIOINWASTE Encourages Student Research Aligned with the European Green Deal and Bioenergy Innovation

The Jean Monnet BIOINWASTE module has encouraged the preparation of student theses focused on the goals of the European Green Deal and bioenergy innovation.

Within the framework of the module’s activities, Anna Lysytska, a Master’s student (group ОС.м-41), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Iryna Ablieieva, has completed a research thesis devoted to the utilization of organic residues from anaerobic digestion. The thesis, entitled “Remediation of Contaminated Soils Using Surfactant-Modified Digestate”, explores the application of digestate-based materials for soil restoration.

Drawing on the leading experience of EU countries, the study provides a comprehensive view of the implementation of bioenergy technologies, emphasizing that their potential extends beyond biofuel production to include other valuable and sustainable products.

The thesis has successfully undergone internal review, and its defense is scheduled for December 2025.

We sincerely wish Anna success and further achievements in her academic and research endeavors!
